DESCRIPTION OF THE SYSTEM FOR BUDGET

Supply of the CIKLA green roof elements from Singulargreen, composed of a retaining layer of 20mm HDPE nodular drainage membrane with a water retention capacity of 6 l/m2, SGL25 inert substrate for green roofs with a thickness of 25mm, soil analysis of the excavation, application of substrate improvement based on the analysis, plant finish with 16 plants/m2, species specially selected for the climate of the area. Includes irrigation system with SG-R16 irrigation tubing consisting of self-compensating irrigation tubing with drippers, including a proportional part of elbows, unions, and distribution tubing. Installation, programming, and commissioning of the GALCON GSI remote control and management system for irrigation.

The irrigation equipment must be located protected from the weather and access by unauthorized personnel to guarantee its durability and prevent its manipulation by unqualified third parties. Water, electricity, and drainage points are assumed to be located near the work area.

Does not include site preparation, waterproofing, perimeter encounters, or lifting equipment.

Fire resistance

UNE-EN 13823:2012 +A1:2016

During the test, no sudden flames appear, no smoke from the sample that does not enter the collector is seen, and there is no distortion or collapse of the sample. No flaming droplets fall.

UNE-EN ISO 11925-2:2011

White, grey, scarce, and light smoke is observed. There is no persistent combustion or ignition points after the test. The samples are carbonized in the area of flame application.

Low-maintenance green roofs usually use Sedum and succulent species that do not require any type of watering.

However, they can and often are colonized by invasive species that do not guarantee the initial aesthetic finish. This is solved by removing these invasive species annually.

A green roof is compatible with any type of activity, walks, sports, hospitality… We just have to combine, depending on the type of species, the vegetative surfaces, with surfaces suitable for the existing activity.

In Germany, according to a report on construction damage, it was shown that while 80% of flat roofs present the first damages after 5 years of construction, a green roof, with a correct choice of waterproofing and good execution of the joints, has an almost endless useful life.

We have to take into account that asphalt sheets, the most commonly used waterproofing products, are susceptible to being perforated by roots and causing moisture problems.

To avoid filtration problems, PVC or EPDM sheets should be installed and the joints made correctly.
