As part of the commitment of the Madrid Centre for Innovation in Circular Economy (CIEC Madrid) to lead the transition towards a sustainable model of production and consumption, a 10 m² vertical garden has been installed at its facilities in Vicálvaro. This initiative, promoted by the Madrid City Council’s Department of Economy, Innovation and Finance, represents a concrete step in the consolidation of urban spaces that reflect the principles of the circular economy and environmental sustainability.

Through this project, the centre not only beautifies its facilities, but also demonstrates in practice the environmental benefits of vertical gardens: improved air quality, reduced temperatures, and the creation of microhabitats for biodiversity.
