House in Alboraya,
Valencia
A vertical garden in Alboraya stands as an oasis of intense green in the middle of the house, offering a fusion of nature and modern design. This garden, located behind a large glass wall, is presented as a living gallery of vegetation that can be admired from any point of the house, providing a continuous and immersive visual experience.
The vertical garden design is a meticulous selection of plants of various species that not only thrive in a vertical environment, but also offer a variety of textures and shades of green. These plants are arranged in a way that creates an attractive aesthetic pattern, which changes with the seasons, thus providing a dynamic and ever-renewing spectacle.
The glass that separates the garden from the interior of the house not only protects the plants from indoor environmental conditions, but also contributes to a sense of spaciousness and light. This architectural element allows natural light to filter through the foliage, creating shadows and plays of light that vary throughout the day and accentuate the natural beauty of the garden.
With an area of 50m2 it is located in the inner courtyard of a multi-storey detached house, the garden is strategically located so that it can be seen from all rooms creating a visual space that brings freshness to the house.
The selection of species has been made according to lighting criteria, the species in the upper part of the garden must withstand full sun in the Mediterranean climate of Valencia while those in the lower part never receive direct light. The plants used are the following:
