Private home, Foios

In a private home in Foios, an 85m² green roof was installed using the Rhizome system, noted for its lightness and minimal space requirements, with a total thickness of only 7 cm.

This technology allows it to be installed on both flat and sloping surfaces, thanks to its adherent substrate based on rock wool panels that combine the functions of retention, drainage and cultivation in a single element. On this base, species of the Sedum genus and sodded turf have been arranged, also integrating an efficient concealed drip irrigation system.

The choice of a green roof not only aesthetically beautifies the house, but also contributes to improve energy efficiency, favors biodiversity and helps in the thermal regulation of the building, promoting a more sustainable and healthy environment.
