As part of the ambitious redevelopment of Valencia Airport, AENA has implemented an innovative green solution in the baggage check-in hall, incorporating two large vertical conserved plant gardens of 20m2 each. These gardens, located opposite each other, create a vibrant and eye-catching green portal that welcomes travelers as they enter the terminal.
The design of these vertical gardens was conceived with the intention of evoking a jungle-like appearance, filled with dense vegetation that contrasts sharply with the technological and modern environment of the airport. The selection of preserved plants for these gardens was strategic, opting for species that offer sustainable visual lushness without the need for an irrigation system, ideal for the challenging elevated location where they are located.
The preserved plants maintain their beauty and vitality without the constant care required by traditional gardens, making them perfect for the busy airport environment.
